The 5th National Renewable Energy Summit - Thursday March 14th 2013, Croke Park, Dublin

The Government and the administration in Northern Ireland have both set targets to generate 40% of electricity from renewable sources by 2020. According to a report from stockbrokers Davy, meeting these renewable energy targets will require investment of up to €5 billion between now and 2020. Ireland is a hub of innovation across the renewable energy spectrum, with many leaders in the sector. One of the main impediments to these companies growing fast enough is often access to financing. For Ireland to fully exploit the renewable energy opportunity, it will require a deeper and more innovative funding market. What has to be done on all levels in order for Ireland’s vision of being a net exporter of energy be realised? What are the facts about financing renewables? What can we learn from successful projects to date? What needs to be achieved in terms of legislation, government support, investment and infrastructure? What are the drivers for successful projects to date? These and other questions will be answered at The 5th National Renewable Energy Summit.

Now in its fifth year this is Ireland’s best-established event for the business of renewable energy. This one-day conference will be addressed by high-level contributors from across the energy sector and will combine keynote speeches, question and answer sessions and panel discussions.
