Parcel2Go Ireland calls on SMEs to make use of exporting advice
Online parcel delivery specialist Parcel2Go Ireland is urging small businesses across the country to make the most of the available opportunities and start targeting overseas markets.
The call comes as Irish-owned business consultancy Leading Edge Group begins its attempt to become established in Australia. The company, which is being supported by Enterprise Ireland, is set to share its experiences of breaking into the country with Irish SMEs via its blog and online videos.
The company has said that over the next six months it will be passing on details of activities at its new base in downtown Sydney, including information on initiatives that have worked and those that haven’t. The aim is to share best practice with other companies that are considering expanding their operations abroad and encourage more SMEs to take the leap and start exporting.
As well as being the 13th largest economy in the world, Australia is also one of the fastest-growing in the Asia-pacific region. Parcel2Go Ireland marketing director Richard Mercer said as many businesses as possible should look to benefit from Leading Edge Group’s experiences Down Under.
“This is the kind of initiative that could hopefully encourage many more businesses in Ireland to take the plunge and start exporting, not just to Australia, but to territories across the world where there is a market for Irish goods,” he said.
“Here at Parcel2Go Ireland we are ready to play a central role in helping more businesses in the country to start exporting by providing affordable and reliable logistics solutions.”
